"One of the local heroes of comedy – one of the regular highlights (of the night) is the genial and all-inclusive banter of Hadoke himself"

With a stand up career that spans over 15 years, Toby is one of the most respected MC’s and headline acts on the UK circuit. His quick wit and charming audience banter make him a disarming compere who can liven up any lacklustre crowd, or tame a feisty one, without him ever losing his unique comedy styling as a self-deprecatory and amusingly vexed curmudgeon, whom it is impossible to dislike.
Quick witted and a verbal craftsman, he’s also politically informed and a great improviser.
"Savage witted and incisive satire"

"His quick witted mix of left field topicality and observational asides ensures he’s rarely short of work" – Manchester Evening News
He took his debut one-man show, Moths Ate My Doctor Who Scarf to The Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2006, to the delights of audiences and critics alike.
Following a successful Edinburgh, the show enjoyed a West End stint and continues to tour internationally (a multi-date UK run spawned appearances at the New Zealand Comedy Festival, Canada, Florida, LA and Chicago). Toby adapted the show for BBC radio and as a result was nominated for a Sony Award, this was followed up with the successful ‘Now I Know My BBC’ in 2010. Toby returned to the Fringe in 2012 with ‘Scarf’s’ sequel ‘My Stepson Stole My Sonic Screwdriver.’ Critically acclaimed, averaging four star reviews across the board and an official Edinburgh sell-out, ‘Sonic Screwdriver’ was a testament to his abilities as a writer and performer.
"the circuits leading compere - an expert ringmaster, tackles hecklers with relish and zeal. A comedy genius"

Toby started Manchester’s multi-award winning comedy club XS Malarkey single-handedly back in 1997, acting as resident MC, having been awarded the inaugural Les Dawson Award at the Northwest Comedy Awards and Best Offstage Contribution at the 2008 Chortle Awards for his efforts. He has also been hired as resident MC for a number of other successful nights, including ‘New Stuff’ at The Comedy Store, Manchester and at The 99 Club in Leicester Square every Wednesday. He has headlined gigs at many of the UK’s most prestigious comedy nights for many years and continues to be at the top of a promoters wish list.

His gifts as an actor have generated cult followings as a regular writer/performer for The Unbroadcastable Radio Show (at The Comedy Store) and The Asylum (The Frog And Bucket). He has acted on stage, TV and radio, written for national newspapers, and presented the 7th Dimension on BBC Radio 7. His first book was published in 2010 and he is an in-demand voice over artist.
